Dylan Lupton Looking for Redemption in the Desert

  • Dylan Lupton has two previous NASCAR Xfinity Series starts at ISM Raceway; he finished 19th in both events (spring of 2015 and spring of 2016)
  • This will be Lupton’s first Phoenix start with JGL Racing
  • The west coast native has participated in five events at the track in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West
  • In those five K&N starts, he earned one top five and two top-10 finishes, bringing home a best finish of fifth in November of 2014
  • Lupton also made one NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the Phoenix facility in 2016
  • Last week, Lupton announced a new partnership with west coast-based Fatal Clothing, which will be on the B-post of the No. 28 throughout the season

“We’re looking to get our season back on track this weekend at ISM Raceway after a rough weekend that ended early in Vegas. This will be my ninth visit to ISM Raceway and third Xfinity race there, so I am excited to get to a track that I have experience at and where JGL Racing has shown strength in the last few years. ISM Raceway always produces fun racing, especially with the dogleg that you’re able to cut leading into Turn 3. I would like to thank thinQ Technology Partners and Fatal Clothing for their support this weekend.”

This was Dylan Lupton’s first start at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

“Today was a disappointing way to start off the West Coast swing. We were all right in practice and qualifying; we were struggling with handling over the bumps through Turn 1 and 2 and we were loose in Turns 3 and 4. We fired off pretty good in the beginning of the race and started making a few passes, but then our race was cut short. Coming off Turn 4, I came through the tri-oval and was turned while fighting for the same real estate as the No. 39 car. After that, we made hard contact with the inside wall and that sent us to the garage. I hate that our day ended the way it did, especially because we had a good racecar. We will work hard these next few days and get ready for Phoenix and California. I want to thank my guys for all their hard work and thinQ Technology Partners and Fatal Clothing for their support.”

Dylan Lupton Placing Bets on Strong Finish in Las Vegas as #NASCARGoesWest

  • This week kicks off Lupton’s partnership with West Coast company Fatal Clothing.
  • Lupton has made five NASCAR Xfinity Series starts on 1.5-mile tracks (Kentucky Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Chicagoland Speedway and Atlanta Motor Speedway).
  • The 24-year-old’s best finish on an intermediate track is 16th at Kansas Speedway.
  • JGL Racing has eight previous starts at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, with a best finish of 16th (J.J. Yeley in 2015).

“I’m looking forward to kicking off the West Coast swing at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. I’ve been to Phoenix multiple times, and Auto Club Speedway is my favorite track that we go to all year long, but this will be my first visit to Las Vegas Motor Speedway. We have had good speed at mile-and-a-half tracks over the last year, and need to execute all weekend long to get the great result that I know we are capable of achieving. I want to thank our sponsor, thinQ Technology Partners, for their continued support as NASCAR goes west. Also, I’m excited to announce a new partnership with Southern California-based company Fatal Clothing.”

Dylan Lupton Fights Loose Condition, Tire Wear in Atlanta

Start: 28th
Stage 1 End: 17th
Stage 2 End: 21st
Finish: 21st
Status: Running
Laps Completed: 160/163
Driver Standings: 24th

  • This was Dylan Lupton’s first start at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
  • The No. 28 thinQ Technology Partners Mustang fought a loose condition on entry and exit for much of the race.
  • Lupton’s Ford fought heavy right-front tire wear during the second stage.
  • The 24-year-old’s best finish on an intermediate track is 16th at Kansas Speedway.
  • JGL Racing has made a total of 10 starts at Atlanta Motor Speedway, with a best finish of 16th (J.J. Yeley in 2014 and Corey LaJoie in 2017).

“We had an up and down day today at Atlanta Motor Speedway. We had speed throughout the race and were able to make progress going forward. However, in our second run, our right-front tire had heavy wear and was a handful, which ultimately resulted in us falling a lap down at the end of the stage. The final stage, we actually had good speed, but it was just a little too late. The good news is that we kept the car in one piece and will build on this weekend as a team. I have to give a big thanks to thinQ Technology Partners for their support and to the JGL crew for all their hard work.”

Dylan Lupton to Make Atlanta Debut in thinQ Technology Partners Ford Mustang

  • Dylan Lupton will be making his first start at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend.
  • Lupton has made four NASCAR Xfinity Series starts on 1.5-mile tracks (Kentucky Speedway, Kansas Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway and Chicagoland Speedway).
  • The 24-year-old’s best finish on an intermediate track is 16th at Kansas Speedway.
  • Lupton has two 1.5-mile track starts for JGL Racing (Kansas and Texas)
  • JGL Racing has eight previous starts at Atlanta Motor Speedway, with a best finish of 16th (J.J. Yeley in 2014 and Corey LaJoie in 2017).

“After kicking off the season in Daytona, I’m fired up to get to Atlanta. I was able to run two mile-and-a-half tracks at the end of last year with my No. 28 JGL Racing crew, and we built a solid foundation heading into this weekend. It will be interesting to feel out the new body at a high-speed track and how it will react around other cars. Even though this will be my first visit to Atlanta Motor Speedway, I have been watching film and running the simulator to prepare. Our new partnership with thinQ Technology Partners has started off great and I’m looking forward to continuing that partnership in Atlanta and beyond.”
